My Story
There was a moment when I realised that words were not enough.
Not for what I felt.
Not for what I wanted to express.
Not for the things that existed somewhere deeper — just out of reach of language.
So I started to paint.
At first, it wasn’t about creating art. It was about releasing something. Layers of thoughts, emotions, tension…
All finding their way onto the canvas without needing to be explained. I stopped trying to control the outcome. Instead, I began to listen — to intuition, to movement, to the quiet rhythm guiding each layer.
That’s when everything changed.
My paintings became more than visual compositions.
They became experiences. Built through texture, contrast and flow — not only to be seen, but to be felt. People often reach out to touch them. Not because they are told to… but because something in them responds. And I understand that instinct. Because I create in the same way — through feeling first.
Today, I work under the name IKA. A name that represents a more honest, essential part of who I am.
Originally from Poland and now based in London, my work has found its way into private collections across Europe and onto gallery walls in London.
But the place that matters most… is not where the artwork hangs. It’s the moment someone stands in front of it — and feels something they didn’t expect.
Something they can’t fully explain. Something that, somehow…feels familiar.
